In 1925 the Austrian Westen family founded the "Smalterie Metallurgiche Venete" plant in Bassano del Grappa, specialized in enamelled products, steel radiators, and the production of bathtubs. Starting from 1950 it began to produce household items until about the end of the 60s. The coat of arms represents two opposing rampant lions on a pot with the initials S.V. (Venetian enamel works).
